Keep calm, and carry on

There's a reason why this British saying keep calm and carry on works around London, because it sure sticks to Oxford Street shopping.

The amount of people and tourists down this shopping strip is sure more than Melbourne! I can't wait to get back from contiki and do some last minute shopping! The brands are forever ending with Forever 21, H&M, Zara, and of course boutiques and designers.
The stores here are huge most are 2 storey & would feed any persons shopping addiction.

After wandering around most of the afternoon, we caught a bus to Harrods in Knightsbridge, and OMG this is now my most favorite store ever!! This place is enormous and has every single designer brand you can imagine!! From homewares to handbags and beautiful jewellery. My favorite would have to be the Food Hall, where all the handmade chocolates are not to mention the beautiful mini restaurants where you can have oysters and sample champagnes or watch fresh produce be turned into tapa style dishes right in front of you. I didn't have enough time to stay and eat, and pretty much every seat was taken. But I have never seen such an elegant shop in my life! The decor inside is so stunning and everyone is dressed for the part including staff wearing the original candy red, pin striped outfit with white hats and red ribbons tied round. Makes you really fell like your in a different world!

I'm officially obsessed with London and would definitely come back very soon for a longer holiday and find some amazing cafe tucked away and try some high tea or a fancy dinner and cocktails!

At 11.30 am around Buckingham Palace all traffic is stopped and baracades are set up, while thousands of people gather around to watch the changing of the guards.

We fortunately caught this from high up on a concrete wall and I've attached the photos to see. (it looks way better in real life) the crowds were so huge we didn't get to get close enough for a photo with a guard. Pretty cool must see while in London!!

Well that's all, I have a contiki meeting before we depart for Paris early in the morning!
Having a blast already, and time has never become so precious!!
