Bonjour!

I arrived in Paris last night at 530pm then straight off to a first Contiki Dinner! Then we were all taken on a night tour of Paris!

If anyone thinks that people drive bad or hate getting traffic jams, try driving around the Arc De Triomphe which had NO speed limit or lanes, and is the world's most busiest roundabout where the most car accidents happen.

I decided to stay in for the night to be up an early for a day of sightseeing. I teamed up with a girl from my contiki tour and caught the bus to start at Notre Dame, the cathedral was covered in really cool sculptures and Gothic art work, Afterwards we walked to the love lock bridge which up close is pretty impressive! You take a padlock there with you and somebody else name and attach it to the wire running on the bridge. There's thousands!!

Next we caught a quick picture of the Archangel Michael statue, and caught a train to the Eiffel Tower. It was said that the Eiffel Tower was put there because a contest was held for engineers to design a monument and they could have it there for a year if they won. It attracted so much attention so they left it to stand today. If the Eiffel Tower didn't win a huge knife would of stood there. It was pouring with rain so I only got to catch a few photos :(

Other monuments we viewed were more cathedrals, court houses, huge theatres like the place where the man who created the Phantom of the Opera got his ideas for the play. Also the mayors house which is so full on and over the top, it's just ridiculous.
We also learnt a huge amount about Louis Vuitton and Coco Chanel, which all I can say is they got around and liked having affairs to be popular, and Louis Vuitton actually made clothes for Hitler.

I had an awesome baguette for lunch in the middle of Paris overlooking the Arc De Triomphe down Les-Champs Elysees followed by last minute shopping, Tonight well be going to a Parisan Dinner followed by an early night for me (such a party pooper) & leaving in the morning down to the wine region in France for some wine tasting and an upgrade from our hostel accommodation to the Chateau Mansion where I'm praying for hot weather for a dip in the pool.

So far loving the tour, but London is still topping all.....

Update you all soon

Au Revoir!! xx
